Yesterday we made a spontaneous decision to go to Flip out in Chester. Lily won a voucher in a fancy dress competition for £20. So we were able to use that. Going on family adventures is one of our goals and aims and we wanted to incorporate family time into this. Especially as it’s looking like Andrew has a job offer but it’s working full days on weekends. Meaning our family time will either me me and the kids or me, Andrew and Imogen which isn’t ideal. However, we have to take what is offered at the time.
Flip Out in Chester costs £11 per person per hour with an additional £2 for Flip Out socks if you don’t have any. We bought some this time but have saved them ready to go again. Children under 1.2m can jump for a reduced rate of £6 per per child per hour. There is also a family pass for £32 for 4 people for an hour.
We bought a family pass and two additional people plus under 1.2m for a total cost of £60. We then had to get seven pairs of socks for £14.
After queuing and watching a short five minute video we were about to go in. There was a delay and the video didn’t start for ten minutes so we got an additional ten minutes at the end.
We took off our shoes, placed them in a locker then set off to bounce.
They all had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back again. We won’t be paying for Imogen or either of us adults next time though, I don’t think she got enough out of it to warrant paying £6 for her. Although she did love it for the whole 5 minutes she spent bouncing. Once she is really walking and jumping I know she will enjoy it a lot more.
Harry was amazing with her. He loved holding her hand and trying to get her to jump. Their bond is getting stronger everyday. It’s amazing to watch.
Before we were about to leave the boys found the dodgeball area so they had a jump around in there throwing soft foam blocks at each other.
I even remembered to make sure that I got in the pictures too! My kids will remember that I came to all these fun things we did.
On our way out (and in) the children saw a climbing area. Next time we will definitely give this a try too.
Verdict – Flip Out
Flip out was great fun and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it’s not something that we can do every week due to the cost and it only being an hour long, but the children all loved it and can’t wait to go back. We would consider extending the time and going for 2 hours for a £42 family pass and possibly adding the climbing in too. Lily’s friend is having her birthday party there on the weekend and Lily cannot wait.
