Happy 5th Birthday [party] Declan!

This weekend has been spent baking, crafting, creating and more importantly partying so yes my little loves, happy days and my 365 posts will be late! I will be writing them all this afternoon hopefully – if I don’t get distracted!!

Declan is now 5!! It is his birthday today and he has gone to school armed with badges and a birthday cake with the welsh dragon on it for him and his friends to share. He can’t wait to show them all his cake.

Yesterday we had his birthday party, and almost everything went according to plan, we had a few changes and I ended up having a cake made rather than me making it as I knew I wouldn’t have the time, and one of the games we changed a little but everyone had an amazing day 😀 And so did I!!

First tooth!

Lily and I were sat reading her school book last night. Once she had finished it we started talking. She started to tell me about how she felt odd because she was the only one from her year in her class who hadn’t lost a tooth.
I tried to explain to her that the longer you have your milk teeth the better your adult teeth will be. She has 4/5 slightly wobbly teeth One of those was a little wobbler but nothing too exciting.

Today she comes out of school and I was talking to another mum about PTA. When she came out I sent her straight back for two other children  we were taking home with us and she came back and her and her friends were all trying to get my attention. I’m a firm believer in they have to wait until someone has finished speaking so she knew not to interrupt me but once I had finished I looked down to her beaming smile and there was a gap at the bottom!!!

Totally blurred but she was so excited and this is the first picture I took!

Happy St David’s Day to all my non welsh speaking friends and to you welsh speaking friends out there Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus.

If you celebrated St David’s Day I hope you had an amazing day. We did plan on going to Conwy Castle, but as I don’t drive YET, we would have had to have got the train and the times just didn’t work well for what we wanted unfortunately, but hopefully next year I will be able to drive to whatever castle I would like 🙂

So instead we got stuck in to crafts, fun and baking welsh cakes – although I totally forgot until I was baking tea that we were going to bake them and Lily wasn’t bothered so me and Declan made them (but no pictures unfortunately).

Out and About: Trains and Beach

This week with the older ones back in school me and Harry went out with my friend and her son, who Harry loves, to visit a beautiful little place with a miniature railway – Harry loves trains so he was so excited the whole way there – probably a little over excited. But we can’t leave the bigger ones out now can we, we went for a lovely walk along the beach on Friday after school – I was meant to write this post last night, but then I realised I was up at 6.30 ready for the Eisteddfod so ended up going to bed!

When to stop the nap?

Lily and Declan were both around 18 months when they decided that they didn’t want to nap any more. They pretty much did it themselves, However, Harry is very much third child baby of the family and still napping at 27 months. I don’t mind him napping in the slightest, to be honest it is quite nice that he still naps and that I can get things done in the afternoons whilst he is snoozing, but lately he has been waking in the night. I say lately it has been happening for a while now.

Out and About: Half Term Edition

This half term we have spent a lot of time together as a family 🙂 It has been amazing, Hubby booked the week off work so it has been a lot of family time and I have loved every second of it. I am not looking forward to him going back to work tomorrow 🙁

We have spent time indoors, baking, making our own t-shirts and watching films but we have tried to get out too 🙂

Review: T-shirt Design Kit

So it is half term and I am always looking for something for the kids to do, but February half term kind of snuck up on me and I had hardly anything planned. Buy T-shirts Online offered us to review a T-shirt design kit for the children and they all really enjoyed it. We were sent three fruit of the loom t-shirts in sizes 2-3 for Harry, 4-5 for Declan and 5-6 for Lily and they fitted perfectly. We got to chose a theme for iron on transfers too! So we chose Frozen (Lily), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Declan) and Monsters Inc (Harry). The iron ons were fantastic condition and came with great instructions, but as soon as the kids seen the pens they just wanted to create their own designs.

Wicked Wednesday – Feb 4th

I love Wicked Wednesday’s! It’s a great way to embarrass our kids hahaha – so of course I am back with another week and another chance 🙂

Yesterday we went to the park and Harry started having a strop – and instead of taking a picture of him I took pictures of the swan!!! How silly, I realise now I should have taken a picture of him for today’s post. My plan for this week is to keep an eye out for those strops and tantrums and try and get an awesome photo of it 🙂

Anyway this weeks Wicked Wednesday photo comes from the same trip! We took some bread to the park with us to feed the ducks (and the swans) but when we got there the pond was frozen!! So when Harry was throwing the bread it was just sitting on top of the ice! The swans had created a little pathway to get from one side to the middle but this one was kind of stuck and was trying to get out but in the middle of the pond and couldn’t. So I threw him a little bread that he could reach from his little stream.

Harry couldn’t understand where the ducks were but we had fun none the less.

Wicked Wednesday – Jan 28th

Yay Wicked Wednesday’s is back for another week! It’s less embarrassing this week for them (I bet they will be thinking yay too!)

We went to soft play last week, as I have wrote about in a lot of my posts, and Harry decorated a cake, he was extremely disappointed when it was “all gone”
